CHRISTMAS TRAM

The historic Christmas tram has been rekindling nostalgic Christmas spirit in Innsbruck since 2016 – thanks to an initiative by the city, the Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe (IVB), the Tyrolean Museum Railways, and other partners. It recalls its first journeys in 1969, when it operated during the pre-Christmas season—with some interruptions—until 2008. For many, it is a familiar sight; for others, a new and atmospheric experience.
