MUSIC IN ADVENT
Oh du fröhliche
What would the Mountain Christmas in Innsbruck be without contemplative music? Choirs and brass players from Innsbruck and the surrounding area join in, providing a festive atmosphere for the Mountain Christmas.
Have you ever heard of "Anklöpfeln"? Anklöpfeln is a tradition practiced in the Lower Inn Valley of Tyrol. In this custom, a group of mostly male singers dresses up as shepherds and sings old songs. They also pay a visit to the Christmas markets in Innsbruck. A special auditory experience is the Festive Tower Music, where Christmas melodies resonate from the balcony of the Golden Roof.
