MUSIC IN ADVENT

Oh du fröhliche

What would Innsbruck Christmas in the Mountains be without peaceful music – choirs and brass bands from Innsbruck and the surrounding area come together in perfect harmony to give Christmas in the Mountains its festive air.

Have you ever heard of ‘Anklöpflen’?’Anklöpfeln is a tradition cultivated in the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley. A group of mostly male singers dress up as shepherds and sing songs from days gone by. The Christmas markets in Innsbruck are also worth a visit. The Tyrolean Advent concert or the Christmas Oratorio by the world-famous Wilten choirboys are other musical highlights. Listening to the festive tower music is also a special experience. Christmas melodies sound from the balcony of the Goldenes Dachls (Golden Roof).
