![]() | Igls Christmas in the Mountains “Christmas in the Mountains” takes place every year on 23 December at 5.30 pm in the village centre of Igls. Carols are sung in the village square in front of the Christmas tree and Christmas crib. Then the procession begins at 6 pm. 200 angels, shepherds and animals accompany the sleigh carrying the Holy Family from the post office through the village centre and into the garden behind the tourist office. Atmospheric performances with a living Nativity scene and Christmas music with the curch choir or Igls-Lans as well as brass ensembles from the Igls-Vill village band. An address from the local priest and a joint rendition of “Silent Night” bring the Igls Christmas in the Mountains to an end. Igls village centre |
